Our company, Licence Check Ltd, is committed to improving driver risk processes and has been for more than 15 years. From educating businesses on their legal responsibilities to making checks quicker, easier and more manageable, our values remain unchanged and our mantra ever more relevant; ‘never stand still’.

We are persistent in our quest to automate all conceivable occupational road risk processes, and thanks to our team of experienced in-house developers, we are uniquely placed to advance our software with the future firmly in our sights.

Ebbon Group (our parent company) has an unrivalled history of developing automotive software products and successfully bringing them to market, servicing businesses in the UK, Europe and beyond with their market leading applications for the vehicle leasing sector.

Keith Allen

Managing Director

Keith joined the company as MD and is responsible for strategy, sales and day to day management of the business. He’s worked in the leasing and fleet management sector for 26 years and has a wealth of knowledge on the subject.

Terry Hiles

Consultancy Role

Terry is our in-house expert for all things commercial, legal and knows the DAVIS system inside out. Terry deals with tenders and legislation and is the author of our Compliance Handbook. Terry can always be relied upon to share sweet treats with the office.

Colin Brown

Chief Operations Officer

Colin ensures the operations side of the business run as smoothly as possible. He was a co-founder of Licence Check Limited along with his father Richard who has now retired. He loves to travel with his wife and 3 children and brought a tent during lockdown for some UK adventures.

James Povah

Group Product Lead

James is our top-notch developer and is responsible for product innovation and sustainability. There is nothing he doesn’t know about DAVIS and everything else it would seem – he is a long-standing champion of our annual Christmas quiz. He was once under 18 county tennis champion and under 14 country chess champion.

Katy Holding

Head of Marketing

Katy has been with the company for 6 years and was responsible for transforming the DAVIS brand. Following a long career in beauty marketing, she made the transition to software and has never looked back. Katy is also a qualified yoga teacher and enjoys bringing mindfulness and balance into everyday life.

Alex Stopford

Senior Marketing Executive

Alex studied for her degree whilst living in Vietnam and Barcelona, and has extensive experience working in the hospitality sector. At Licence Check she’s responsible for emails, social media and web updates. Alex is a Derby County fan and animal lover and loves to travel too.

Joe Meakin

Head of Sales

Joe manages the onboarding process, alongside identifying new business opportunities. He joined Licence Check in 2013 and has worked in customer support and account management in that time. Joe is a key member of the sales team and enjoys delivering product demos online and face to face. He's a sporting mad, family man who loves to stay active.

Rick Wilson

Corporate Fleet Sales Manager

Rick our Corporate Sales Manager is primarily responsible for strategic sales development, growing the existing DAVIS client base as well as building and maintaining relationships with clients and partners. Outside of the office, Rick is a Villa fan and when not ferrying the kids around enjoys the odd craft beer from time to time.

Jacob Hamed Brown

Product Manager

Jacob is responsible for implementing new modules and launching new products. He's worked at Licence Check for 5 years, originally working in Support before moving to an product management role. Jacob knows DAVIS inside out and has a way of explaining the system in an uncomplicated way.

Jenny Found

Group HR Manager

Jenny recently transferred over from our parent company Ebbon Group and looks after key accounts, making sure they get the most from DAVIS. She recently ran a half marathon, raising money for Cancer Research and loves to relax with a good book and a glass of wine.

Kevin Birch

Client Service and Network Infrastructure Manager

Kevin is our in-house technical whizz and has been with Licence Check for 10+ years. You'll find Kev on the end of the phone supporting client and is the voice behind our top rated video tutorials. There is more to Kev than meets the eye, as a keen singer, he once tried out for X Factor.

Ollie Henderson

Customer Support Executive

Ollie is a valued member of our Support team and manages the mandate processing and is relied upon to support clients with technical queries. He’s trekked Machu Pichu, built mud huts and stroked crocodiles during his many adventures.
